Omp Wheel Installed...dsc No Longer Works???????????
Ok So I Installed A Omp Race Wheel Last Week....went To Laguna Seca And After Entering The Track I Went To Get On The Throttle And The Dsc Light Began Flashing And I Had No Power....i Immediately Turned Dsc Off And The Car Ran Fine...i Ran All Day W/ Dsc Off....it Forced Me To Really Focus On Throttle Control And I Will Now Always Runs W/ Dsc Off But I Wanted To Know If There Is A Issue With The Dsc Or If Its Related To The Removal Of The Oem Wheel....thank You In Advance

What are your new wheel and tire sizes? Too large a discrepancy in overall diameter between the front and rear tires can cause DSC issues.

If that's not it then yeah DSC could just be doing its job. I just assumed you meant DSC was stepping in under the same conditions that it didn't used to before the wheel swap.

My bad op. I thought you meant dsc was cutting in while out on track, coming out of corners, etc. What you're describing obviously isn't normal.

DSC uses a steering angle sensor to help it determine where you want the car to go and make the physics-defying adjustments necessary to get you pointed in that direction if you get too far off that path, which is why a incorrectly calibrated sensor can absolutely cause DSC to interfere unnecessarily. UPDATE: Found this procedure over on 1Addicts, worth a shot before paying the dealer considering how simple it is: Quote:

Your E46 also had a steering angle sensor, this shouldn't be anything new to you in terms of DSC functionality. As someone else posted, turning the steering wheel lock to lock will calibrate it. If the towering wheel wasn't installed centered correctly, this could be the source of your issue. Count the turns from center to left and right locks. If they're different, there's your answer.
