Or if you have, I suggest finding a new lawyer to work with.

I havent lemoned anything..I avoid buying lemons... but I do deal with lawyers for a living..a letter is sent out.. a phone call is made..half an hour is spent thinking about a case...someone gets a bill

And I am not debating this at all..but someone needs to pay a retainer upfront for the lawyer unless they handle the whole thing on contingency.which I am not sure of with lemons

Here in California lemon law cases are handled on contingency. No $ up front at all because the manufacturer pays the lawyer fee's. So most lawyers won't even take a lemon law case unless it is a slam dunk because they know if they lose they won't get paid. Simple.
