More pics with tints and black tail lights on E93 M3

Had the tints done this morning.
5% around
50% on the windshield

Please dont comment if you dont like 5%, all my cars have always had 5% and I love it dark!!

I was supposed to have my tint guy do the black vinyl around the windows at the same time, but it wasnt going to work out well in his opinion. So I've opted to take it to the body this week for getting rid of the UGLY ORANGE REFLECTORS and having them remove and paint the trim around the window to matte black. (I will also have them paint the chrome kidney grilles to black with the chrome lines).

As for the taillights, its a strip of 20% tint, my guy just did it for me for free - He said its like "eyeliner" because we only did the bottom reverse area.

Now for the pics...

Damn no split arm rest for E93? Tint looks good ... how did the dot matrix turn out on the rear window?

Thats Canada for you. they don't get the split arm rest. Dosn't matter what model. E90 E92 and E93 all get the solid rest.

Damn... does anyone have a part # for this? I would consider ordering it - I like the look better, but how does your compartment in there open ? Do you still have IPOD plug in there and the heated/cooled cup holder ? or is it different inside?

By the way TheBry, when you get yours?

The storage / accessories inside the armrest compartment are exactly the same (iPod / USB connector, temp controlled cupholder, etc.). One thing I really love is the fact that the Convertible has a lock on the armrest compartment that is actuated when you lock the car. Yours will have that too. I wonder why Canadian models don't come standard with the split sliding armrest?

Mine is actually in production this week. The 1-800 number says it'll be finished on the 21st. With shipping and everything, I'm hoping to have it toward the end of July.

Let me know what you're doing about your chrome trim -- you mentioned painting. I thought about that option, but ruled it out since I didn't think it would age that well. Have you considered going to Brandon to have him do the vinyl black trim overlay? I'm going to have him do that for me. The pictures he posted of an E93 he just completed are amazing.

Ya ? I didnt notice yet, I'll try that tomorrow - thanks!
Who knows why they change everything for every country? ie Why dont we have shadowline trim, but Europe does!?

My tint guy said he coudlnt wrap it properly around the other side of the trim....unless those kits are cut in width to exactly cover the trim, it would be pretty tough to do he told me! My cousin is in the aftermarket car business, and he highly recommended not vinyling it as it may peel, wrinkle, bubble and scratch up. So for $350 bucks, its going to be removed and painted matte black to match the trim around the side view mirrors!!!
Its considerably more expensive, but my body shop does insane work and warrantys their work. So good bye ugly yellow bumper reflectors and good bye ugly aluminum trim

Lovely car - I'm jealous. The tinting of the tail-lights is brilliant, and finishes the rear of the car.
I was gonna order the Individual Brilliant White with Fox Red E93 M3, but the UK just doesn't have the sun for it... :-(

P.S. Do you live near to Historic Terrace?

20' 360 Forged wheels. Should be here in 2-3 weeks time.

I hate the ugly 18s, but theyll make good for winter use around here!

congrats on your E93! looks sick!....the tint...eh, too much imho....for me, I'd like to not get a tint because it looks a bit odd on a vert...IMHO the clear windows have a much more natural look...plus who needs the windows when you have a vert?
