poldim - Logic7 definitely has an equalizer which allows you to adjust the different ranges individually. I believe there are 8 verticle bars representnig the frequency range that you can adjust higher or lower. Some people like it in the "V" pattern.

We are talking about different EQ's.

You are talking about a straight forward EQ that just modify's the sound where as I'm talking about a sound effect EQ and the two current presets in Logic 7 (Concert Hall and Theater).

nav

have personlized settings so that after you "accept" the nav it will go to your favorite setting automatically. in my case the 'perspective" view. also for manual transmission owners switch the radio tune buttons and volume buttons on the steering wheel so that you can
tune stations with your left hand while you shift with your right.
currently, you have to tune from the buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel, very clumsy.

I was actually thinking of that today as I had to shift and change a song. It would be nice if they had reversed those from the start...

Ha, yeah, sorry for the lack of update. I sent in our list to BMW in mid-Febraury (to CEO, VP aftersales, Head of 3-series brand, and customer relations). Got a call a few days later from someone from customer relations saying thanks and that it's been forwarded to the people I cc'ed.

Obviously no guarantee that Purves or anyone senior saw it (I mean it's not like the M5 pathetic-lack-of-US-launch-control issue where Purves personally responded to owners), but if it at least ended up on someone's desk who cares, then we've done our job.

We'll see what comes of it.

That makes me think - maybe we should all consider sending in the letter with your own/name as a signature. A few hundred of these might actually get somewhere. Email is really easy if you don't want to snail mail.

4 different snail mail envelops speaks more volume and sends a greater message...but email is just so much easier

You make the template, and I'm in....

Stick a popsicle stick in it?
Or put up with the noise for 1.5 minutes, after which it shuts off.

Do a search, it has been discussed in many previous threads.

Or buckle the person up...

I've set it off by placing a heavy bag there...

I think the seatbelt thing is great. I just tell people that they have to wear their seatbelt or the car won't shut up. It is a great way to get them to buckle up.

Not software related but it is rediculous (to me) that the alarm is a dealer installed option rather than standard on this type of car.
The homelink not working when engine is off is also stupid and carried over from at least the E46.

Alarm not standard is a BMW USA thing

Doesnt your homelink work if you just pess the start/stop button without startig the engine ( mode that allows radio to play )

On our E46 it works if you just turn the key one notch, without starting the engine

I think homelink requires ignition power since its powered by it.

I just had my alarm activated on Wednesday. The acoustic acknowledgement is extreneky quiet. Its hard to hear with any ambient noise....wish you could turn it up some how...

my 2 cents:

1. by default, or through an option, enable the display of music track elapsed time (i.e. track 2, 1:35)....when playing CDs or media files

2. enable the bluetooth icons (like signal strength, whether it is connected to your phone etc) even though the stereo is switched off
