EDC Coding to Disable

I will soon be installing coilovers on my e92. I will need to disable my EDC.

Been doing some research and digging with NCS and haven't found a way to do so yet. I read the EDC module and didn't seem as easily as setting something from aktiv to nicht_aktiv. It's all a bunch of hex values.

Anyone have any tips on how to do this?

Its very easy.

Physically unplug the module in the trunk.
Remove $223 from the VO and code CAS and NFRM with the new VO
code the edc-related options in the Kombi and CIC to nicht_aktiv (if you dont have a CIC then i believe its in CAPPL)

After that i cleared error codes in INPA but that probably isnt even necessary.

Ended up doing mine a slightly different way, I read various modules and set any that said EDC to inactive. I found that easier than having to recode my changes.

Unplugged the module and all warning lights were no more.

Did the same thing for TPMS (RDC) removal also.

Problem with that is, when you scan the car for errors, you're gonna get all sorts of codes. These won't trigger any lights but will come up for sure when scanned. If the car is under warranty then dealer might have an issue with that. Something to consider.

Ahh okay. Guess I'll have to fix that, will the errors show up in INPA?
