Seat Belt guide stuck

My driver's side seat belt guide is stuck in the extended position. Should I just shove the thing back in there or would that be bad?

I have a scheduled maint to fix another problem in a few days so if there's no easy way to reset/fix it can wait.

After starting the car about 5 times, it finally reset and went back in.

Such a handy little piece of kit, but I can just picture it eventually breaking on ALL of our cars. :-/
