Flex/Creak with gill panels?

Do other owner's have a bit of give (flex) and a "creak" if you push on the front side panels that have the gills?

I replaced my gills over the weekend... When I washed and detailed my car, I noticed the "creak" sound and flex.

I don't know if they have always done this and I never noticed, or maybe I put too much stress on them during gill replacement. I know they are plastic and they are not out of line, so I'm wondering if this has always been the case and I just never noticed.

Thanks.

Yes. There's a different thread about all the random noises the E9x makes.

Wow, I did not realize the front fenders were plastic. They sure do give, but I thought they were just very thin aluminum or something. Are they fiberglass or truly plastic??

Here's what our plastic fenders look like when they're cracked by an F150.

Wow, thanks for the pics!! I guess that saves weight! I wonder what the cost of a fender replacement is? I bet the paint job costs more than the fender.

It's like a Saturn, no dings in the parking lot. Mine make a bit of noise when I am washing it and waxing it, in fact just finished waxing and they were pretty noisy tonight.
