Maybe they're only turned on in that mode. As Tech stated check the manual and ensure they're on..............Phil

I'm confused ......the only options are DCT or manual.

If you have iDrive, go to your "M Key Settings" and enable your shift lights there. You can also enable it via the display between your tachometer and your speedometer.

M3 is a fun machine. When travelling at a moderate or higher speed with your DCT, floor the accelerator and down shifted with the left paddle, your M3 will find the best gear to downshift and take off. Don't worry about an over rev, the car will not allow it to occur. Then you can accelerate and see the shift light Christmas tree.

The shift lights only come on in Manual sequential mode (i.e. Flappy paddle mode) at 7K RPM or a very steep acceleration rate.
