Red light ticket attorney?

I got one in San Juan Capistrano where they are about to end the program. Does anyone have one they can recommend? Thanks!

I've successfully used these guys to fight a traffic ticket for my son (in all fairness, they won one and lost one).

OP.. follow these close instructions:

1. Throw ticket in trash can.
2. Refer to step one.

It's a third party interloper (private company). I may as well send out money requests to people.

Let me elaborate because I can tell you are confused over steps 1 & 2. Did you recieve the ticket via certified mail? No?

Return to sender. The end. (I prefer the trash can method)

Although the money is going to a third party in AZ. There is a court date on it with the correct address of the court.

Not so true... maybe in LA, not in OC

"Although most courts will not issue an arrest warrant for non appearance at court for a Red Light Camera Ticket, your non appearance or non payment of the court fine will cause a hold to be put on your license by the court, and then the DMV will utimately suspend your license.

Based upon the above and the fact that that you may have some defenses to this ticket, the best course of action would be to hire an experienced traffic attorney to appear at your arraignment hearing and trial."

In that case, go to the arraignment and ask the "judge" for a charging instrument. He/she will try to tell you it's the ticket itself. Do NOT accept this. That is nothing more than a promise to appear, and not even that if it's a red light ticket. Keep asking for the charging instrument and zip your lip.

Update: Used Ticketkick.com, and was still found guilty. Going to try the court appearance.

funny how I always hear about people not paying for these...and that in itself is one of the reasons why these red light cameras are being phased out, seems it cost more to install and maintain the camera's than the money they were supposed to be bringing in...hmmm

I heard that the camera company will send you to collections if you don't pay. Even if you don't have to go to court.

These tickets are about $75 where I live. You ran the light, right? Just pay it. You already wasted more than $75 of your time trying to get out of it. They do not go on your record, so who cares. Just pay and be done with it.

Red Light tickets are $500 in San Francisco. They also go onto your record as a point which increases your insurance rates. So it is a big deal if you cross the line on a red light.

Holy crap. Okay. Yes. I would fight that. You could move to Texas.

Well ya all the pedestrian deaths a few yrs back. Which is expected as SF has a lot of them, since you can actually live there without a car.

If you show up to court a lot of times a lesser charge will be offered. Plead guilty to a lesser charge your fine will be less.
