Got the M fever, ordered car, and how much did you pay for deposit?

So, I got the M3 fever and ordered one today. I live in New York State and seems like very few dealers around here (NY, PA, NJ) have March build allocations. I called up probably 10 dealers and only 2 of them had a March allocation. One dealership even told me 1 year!

Anyway, I ordered from BMW Manhattan since there is no discount on the car anyway. March build. Early April delivery.

Silverstone II
Fox Red
Blue Aluminum
ZPP
ZTP
Heated Seats
PDC
6FL

I paid $2500 for deposit (the other dealer asked for $5000). How much did you guys pay?

$5000 is ridiculous...$2,500 seems pricey too but hey its BMW of Manhattan...

It's all cool as long as you know you'll buy the car, and have a production number with March build date. If they didn't give you a production number, I'd be careful as they can jerk you around with your deposit down.

And why are you responding to me and not to the OP, who asked the question? I am aware that there are people here who ordered without putting a deposit down.

Congrats! It's a shame to sell your car. You've put so much into it. Maybe you should keep it for a winter rocket. What will you drive in these winters?

Have you considered CL trim with the Fox Red? Curious, if you considered DCT?

i did but i feel that CL trim doesn't stand out in non-extended leather because it is dark as well. DCT... there will be a delay and nothing really beats manual for me, so...

my plan is to paint the trim fox red maybe (so that it stands out). what do you guys think?

IMHO, aluminum trim looks rather bad with FR. There are some pics of it on the forum. I'd recommend Titanium shadow or CL with FR.

Mine came to 70,500 after tax, GGT and everything. Im going to shoot for 800-900 monthly payment after down payment. Or if i can secure a 1000 or less lease with smaller DP...
