Anyone running 285/30/19 in the rear?

Thinking of switching out my rear 265/35's to 285/30 on the stock ZCP wheels to give some more much needed grip. This will give an identical rolling diameter in front and rear (245/35 front & 285/30 rear) Has anyone done this? Any issues? I am mainly concerned about the DSC kicking in prematurely.

You may want to step up to a 265 in the front if you do this in order to keep the front to rear width ratio somewhat similar. Unless, of course, you REALLY like understeer.
***disclaimer: I have no idea if a 265 will fit on the stock front wheel, so check on that first. It is more general advice.

The GTS runs 255/35 & 285/30 from the factory on ZCP wheels. Can't be that bad. I'm still waiting for Michelin to announce 285/30 with the PSS.

I don't have a E90.....but I run that setup with no issues. I track and daily on it.

I have 18x10.5ET25 on 285/40/18, and 18x10ET15 on 285/35?/19. No rubbing issues.

I run a 265/30/19, 295/30/19 setup that I absolutely love for street/track driving. Adjust PSI at the track and you've got a fast pretty neutral car... For me that is.

I am running a 255/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear. I love the fitment, the DSC can be a tad more intrusive..key word here is tad. I found it will still allow some slip as long as there isn't a lot of steering input. If the yaw on the steering wheel goes beyond a certain angle it shuts you down a tad earlier than when I had the OEM setup on my ZCP.

A few pics for you..

A side shot so you can see the profile..

Thanks guys...my rear Invos are shot and I wash hoping that Mich would make the PSS in the 285/30/19 size. I will probably buy another set of Invos for the rear as the fronts still have half the tread on them. When the rears wear out hopefully the Mich PSSs will have a 285/30/19 available or I switch out to a 275/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear.

I contacted a reputable Michelin Distributor a couple of weeks ago to get a release date on PSS 285/30/19. It is still not on the radar yet. Typically the tire will show in the system a month or two before availability. That is what the 265/35/19 is doing now with Tirerack. Hopefully it will arrive Q1 or Q2 of 2012.

Thanks for the update...surprised as the 285/30/19 size is a GTS size but its also popular with the 370Z crowd as well.

I plan on switching to a 255/35 F and 285/30 R zcp setup come spring. Hopefully by then the PSS will be offered in the 285/30 size. Dave07997S - your car looks nice with that setup

Impressive use of the search function!

However, use of Michelin's search function...lacking.

You can get them in the new Conti-Sportcontactextreme's. I would get these...You will see I posted on this thread 7 years ago with my 2011 M3. I sold that and got a 2013 ZCP M3 and ran 255/285 setup but with the Conti 5Ps. Those were a very good tire as well. The extremecontact is just slightly inferior to the new Mich 4S.
