Window switch not working - track day tomorrow - help?

Sorry to pull a distress call but I'm in a jam. Drivers side switches (windows, mirrors) stopped working and I need to get the windows down for a track day tomorrow morning. I suspect the regulator is fine, just the switches, since I can operate the passenger window from the passenger door. I'm going to test fuses later but am not holding my breath...

Is there another way to operate the windows? I'm fine with only getting them down.

Thanks!

Try the key fob. Hold the unlock button down and see if the windows go down. Hold the lock button to get them up.

Pretty sure you have to have the thing coded to close windows with the key fob, but sticking the key in the door and holding it locked should do the trick as well (for closing).

Either use your Key FOB, or hold the handle of your door in the unlock position if you have Comfort Access. However, I'd be concerned you couldn't get the window back up, unless you've got that coded. Fuses should do the trick.

You need coding to hold lock and have the windows go up but not to go down...

Well, the switch happened to work the night before but I had to drive an hour in ~32F temps to the track; at least the heater and my hat work well. All worth it for a great track day!

I tried coding for the FOB window control but couldn't get it working w/ a friend's cable (pretty sure it's not the right cable). Now I can't get the window back up which is really inconvenient for a daily driver! So I'm quickly pursuing both a new switch control board and a new coding cable. We'll see which works out first. Unfortunately the earlier suggested hammer solution won't work so well for raising the window

Thanks for the replies!

No problem. The switch itself is shared among all 3 series, so you can just go to a scrapyard, find a totaled E9x 3 series and get the switch for cheap. Swap it out and see if it fixes the problem.
