M-DCT Availability Timeline Canada
A quick update for those interested in M-DCT version of the M3. I placed a deposit several months ago with my dealer and just got called with a production number. It was supposed to be in June production, but has now been moved to July. My dealer her told me that there was only one allocation to his dealership in June, and less than 5 for the month in Canada. I am second in line here, hence July production.
Overall, it sounds like things have been pushed back slightly in Canada. interestingly, manual models are available now on showroom floors in various areas in Toronto, no shortage of those. Just posted as an FYI for those interested. |

You might as well wait for an 09 out of August production. If you take an 08 that late in the model year, you suffer the depreciation for a full model year for the sake of waiting another month or two.July will probally be the last month of production for the 08 model year.

I have an open order for myself for a coupe with M-DCT that will be an 09 that will be in August production (Sept or Oct delivery)or so I am told by my dealer.I am waiting to drive a M-DCT in order to decide if I will take this order. If I like it ,the new M3 will replace my wifes E93 and my 08 M3 will be replaced by a new company truck for the winter. It could be a new X5 with the Diesel or a new 09 F150.
