Rotors
So I've been hearing a lot of screeching coming from my rotors and it turns out the surface is below the thickness of the rotor itself. Can anyone point me to a good replacement set that won't kill my wallet, or at least a reputable website. I don't want a kit that includes oem pads because i'm planning on upgrading those.
Thanks...I just cant seem to find any deals. |

Bought zimmermans for all 4 corners for under $900.
Zimmerman is a direct replacement for the OEM rotors, but their branded rotors use a zinc coat to prevent the hubs/vanes from rusting. Got mine from partsgeek and placed 2 separate order for front and rear and used coupon code "SAVE15" to get $15 off each order http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200...ake_rotor.html |

ECS or getbmwparts has BMW OEM rotors for a little over $1,000.
For install you can buy a hardware kit if you want to replace all the small hardware but they are ~$100 each pair |

Update: Is it even possible for rotors to go out at 20k miles. When im on the highway the steering wheel vibrates pretty hard and when i slow down steering wheel wiggles back and forth. Brake pads have about 40% left and rotor surface feels uneven. Probably going to bring it in to my local shop.

Sure, if you are driving really hard you could wear them out in 20k. Try to bed them in again -- vibration under braking might just be some pad deposits: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/i...Path=6446_6443
