1988 Bmw M5 - For Sale -
This car is For Sale.
I talked the owner into keeping it for a while after this detail, but he is still considering selling it. As you can see, the paint is decent with normal wear and tear. The interior leather is a bit dry (I didn't do any work on the interior) but not too bad considering it's age. A few applications of Lexol should soften it up. I didn't see any rust on the car, nor under the hood. The motor is strong, starts nearly instantly. 5 speed. I will ask the owner for interior photos the next time I talk to him. Offers? P.S. Yeah, it took a lot of consideration before I started to correct it. The trunk lid scared me at first. The hood has several little pinholes from being parked under a Sequoia or Redwood tree. They leak a red goo that attacks paint rather quickly. Doubt aside, I went to it. Quickly changing from a foam cutting pad to a precision wool cutting pad. I went through 2 wool pads because the first one loaded up with black paint and stopped cutting correctly. Spurring aside it was still necessary to use 2, then I moved to a kick ass Meguire's convoluted foam, then on to the Cyclo. If you want serious reflection, you need a Cyclo to finish. Phew. Glad that one is done, though I do miss touching the 1st USA M5 model. Last edited by Apollo Auto Detailing; 04-03-2009 at 02:48 AM.. |
