E92 M3 heads up display ala E60 M5?

I just noticed that the M3 does not have a heads up display option. I dont think this is standard equipment on the cars.

Can anyone confirm this?

If not i guess they will add this as an option on the 2009 or 2010 cars.

This is true they do not offer a heads up display option on the m3 yet. Maybe in the future.

Your right.

They would need to develop a new dash board for that.

I bet you they will offer this feature as an upgrade later on as part of the facelift features.

Scott (BMW insider) mentioned that the current HUD doesn't fit in the E9x's dashboard due to its size. The new 7 series will have a second gen HUD which also needs less space. From then on it's possible to be implemented in the 3 series. But the time frame makes it unlikely that this happens as part of the facelift: 7 series debuts with the new HUD anytime late this year (launch), whereas E90 facelift already comes in September. So HUD is only a safe bet for the next gen 3 series (F35).

Best regards, south
