E92 M3 heads up display ala E60 M5?
I just noticed that the M3 does not have a heads up display option. I dont think this is standard equipment on the cars.
Can anyone confirm this? If not i guess they will add this as an option on the 2009 or 2010 cars. |

Your right.
They would need to develop a new dash board for that. I bet you they will offer this feature as an upgrade later on as part of the facelift features. |

Scott (BMW insider) mentioned that the current HUD doesn't fit in the E9x's dashboard due to its size. The new 7 series will have a second gen HUD which also needs less space. From then on it's possible to be implemented in the 3 series. But the time frame makes it unlikely that this happens as part of the facelift: 7 series debuts with the new HUD anytime late this year (launch), whereas E90 facelift already comes in September. So HUD is only a safe bet for the next gen 3 series (F35).
