Installing Race Seat/Harness, sanity check this please

I've got a VAC anti-sub floor bracket, can you attach the Schroth LV4 clips like this:

Usually see them bolted underneath the floor mounts with bolt going upwards. That's how I did my L bracket. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, the one in my car is bolted below, I'm asking about the clips that hold the straps to the anti-submarine bar. I used that picture for reference.

Here's mine (work in progress):

I'll also have to move that anti-submarine bar forward. That position is not okay as it puts the straps at >20* angle.

Yeah I'm guess it's just there to make sure you don't slide under. Doesn't have to be tight as hell. Our other friend couldn't make it out to buttonwillow because he got injured after driving his new to him e36 m3 racecar. I said make sure your harness is in correct position and you're sitting back against the seat.

He said he injured his nutsack

I got the same injury after riding in ortho281's M3. Seat and harness didn't fit tightly, so I got thrown/slid forward every time he hit the brakes lol.

The pelvic movement combined with the shoulder belt forces will

load the anti-sub straps to more than 6 kN [1,320 lb] each in a 5-

or 6-point racing harness and can be intentionally higher in a

F-type model where the anti-sub straps are routed rearwards.
That might leave a mark.

The sub strap bar and the brackets for the lap belt bolt underneath the floor mounts...not on top.

Thanks!

Both brackets should mount from underneath. Otherwise you won't be able to mount the side mounts.

Think about it this way. If you have a collision, those mounts will want to pull out. There's more strength if you mount it from the bottom than relying on bolts and washers.
