No rear deck speakers in my 2011 E92 M3?

I swear guys I don't think I have any speakers in the rear deck (back window) in my E92 M3. I have standard HiFi with 2 front tweeters, no rear tweeters and what appears to me is 4 speakers in doors and in the back seat.

You don't see speaker grills on the rear deck when looking through the rear window from outside?

I don't have them either with HiFi
I think they only come with individual audio?

i'm thinking for the people who say they can't hear their subs in the trunk (those without the ski hatch)
that would be a nice way to port the trunk into the cabin while still keeping the OEM look.
so you'd get the rear shelf with the speaker covers
but not install speakers, so you have an opening into the trunk?

just a thought

here is the relevant parts list from REALOEM

What's your budget for this?

The problem with your E92 is that very few 4" component speakers fit in the front doors as they are too deep (over 40mm). The few that fit without custom install are quite expensive, at $500++ a set.

Rear speakers and underseat woofers are no problem as there are several available that fit at reasonable prices and great audio quality.

Well I was considering the BSW setup without the rear tweeters so $500 a set isn't out of the question. I will say though the HiFi stereo in the E92 M3 sounds better than the Bose in my 997. Although it is lightyears away from my E90 328i with Logic7.

From what I read if I use the BSW components it may be hard to go aftermarket with a more powerful amp. BSW wants an arm and a leg for their amplifer and it isn't even available yet.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated...

Dave

I rather get a set of Focal 100VRS or 100KP for those $500, an inexpensive coaxial 4" in the rear, add a pair of 8" Rainbow woofers underseat and a JL Audio XD600/6 with a HiFi harness and OEM speaker/woofer connectors. That would work...

Possible thread jack. What would be the best value route for upgrading the base M3 stereo. Is there such an option. For example, for $300 replace subwofer with XYZ and you will get 70% of what people paying $2,000 are getting...

Wow, You really can learn something new every day here. Thats amazing. I cant believe there are no speakers in the rear deck or the e92.

Is it the same in the e90?

Start wil a JL Audio XD600/6 amp for $400, keep the OEM speakers. That's the most inexpensive bang for the buck for the HiFi.

i've tried a few speakers for the front (E92)
all are a pain in the ass to install
you have to mod them to make them fit
i just went back to using logic 7 speakers
overall , they are the easiest to install and they sound good
midrange on them is very good
they can't handle a lot of bass so you have to use a high pass
i'm using 85hz at 24db for now
i prefer using a lower crossover than most people here because it blends better with the underseat subs.

Hmm, I looked back there and I have speaker grills but cant see if there are speakers. In the doors there is only 1 speaker though. I have to assume there are more elsewhere in the rear?

Will this amp fit in the OEM location?

Also I notice the amp will run down to 2 ohms, what is the impedance of the OEM amps and speakers. I may just end up running this amp with OEM speakers other than the SW8 subs. Any input appreciated. Also, I imagine that your OEM connectors would come in handy..can I contact you via landline if possible. You can PM me if that is OK. Once again thanks so much.

The XD600/6 is a direct replacement for the OEM HiFi amp with my HiFi harness so all the OEM speakers will be powered without any modifications.

Fully reversible as well.
