CHP pulled me over

Two days ago I'm doing 75 in a 45 trying to get to my local bar to watch the NBA Finals.

Smoking a cigarette, ESPN blasting inside - I did something stupid - I passed a column of cars and was the lead duck. Going 75 in a 45 zone.

I did another stupid thing, I had my V1 in my glovebox - which is called an ULTIMATE FAIL.

I see CHP on the side of the road and say "oh shit, I'm fucked."

He pulls me over and asks my why I'm speeding, I plead with him, tell him I won't do it again, I was in a rush to pick up my mother from her home, I'm a careful and courteous driver, I follow the rules of the road and etc. Basically, an onslaught of bullshit.

I was polite, well spoken, genuinely sorry and knew I had fucked up.

The guy LET'S ME GO.

CHP of all agencies, 75 in a 45, let's me go. I am still in utter disbelief.

If I had my V1 on this wouldn't have happened, time to get that thing hardwired in my M3 next week.

I'm glad the officer took the time to warn me and get back to dealing with more important things like pulling over pickups going 80 without a registration and insurance.

Your V1 is absolutely useless in LA as CHP don't use radar detectors around here.

Just saw one on BMW motorbike this morning holding a LIDAR gun. Lucky I wasn't speeding...

more like they're too busy going 90+ on the freeway. Lol i've seen more cops speed 80+ than I have detected radars on the freeway.

He mentioned he got me on "radar", I've seen a few of them posted on bikes with old-school radar guns. I'm sure some use Lidar, but it's not that common. LASD definitely uses radar. Maybe it's time for Laser Jammers, although I've heard that they don't even work that well unless he points the beam right at the jammer????

No offense, but I seriously fucking hate you right now. I got a speeding ticket last week, 77 in a 70. Friggin CHP.
