It's been real M3...

Well many people know me on the forum and in the Houston area with my M3 which I bought almost 2 years ago, an '11 le mans blue e92,which was my pride and joy. I've driven and enjoyed that car for most of the 56,000 miles I put on it!

But now its on to bigger and better things and I thought about so many different options, I said to myself I really want a sedan that can fit more people and something thats a little bit bigger so I said Panamera GTS. Then I said I want the agility of a coupe so I said I'd wait for the 991 GT3, but im an impatient bastard . Then I said I work in the oilfield so it would be nice to take my car out to the oil patch with me so why not an X6 M or an X5 M. But when I drove this thing it was no longer a question what I should buy it was more of something that was necessary. I give major props to Advantage BMW in Houston who gave me a great deal on an M5 with 110 miles on it. Here are some quick pics I took. I take Delivery at the end of this week so I am def excited for the future...... Let's just pray that damn mod bug isn't still going around

It's been real M3, but move over for big bro

Love the new ride...

...but I probably would have supercharged the M3 first, as money doesn't seem to be too big of an issue.

I was thinking about doing that before I actually drove the m5.... the m5 really can do it all, with a few well placed mods it will be a track monster as well

Congrats! I have been really amazed by the F10 M5 my dad picked up last September. The car really is crazy fast, though it took me a while to get used to all of the tech being that I've only ever driven manuals.

You say you work in the oilfield. I worked offshore for a couple of years before coming into the corporate side. Invest in a beater truck or SUV like I did. My M3 was not getting parked at the PHI heliport in Houma, LA for three weeks at a time.

Word! I dont work off shore so my car wouldnt be parked but it would be going on lease roads in the middle of west TexasSo the company I work for are actually giving me an 08 F150 to have fun with, 168,000 miles on it but thats low for the oilfield haha

Actually I did get it for a pre-owned price but the car had 88 miles on it. The story went that a doctor bought the car but right when he took it home his wife told him that its "to much of a car for him" and he had to bring it back.... He ended up in a F250, poor guy If he is on this forum just know that I will take care of your original car

Been to Midland once to give some training. Hope I never have to go back, however, the contrast of incredible luxury cars parked next to old, beat-up pickups is pretty fun to see.
