Yeah, I really wish someone could have told me about this. I didnt sleep at all, it was really irritating, yet wonderful. one of the most bitter-sweet experiences I have ever endured.

Are you on the Elektra? It sailed on the 16th and arrives in Halifax on the 26th. It is due in New York on the 29th and Charleston on the 1st. My E92 M3 is on board. The Elektra left Southampton England this afternoon and is in the English Channel just passing the Isle of Wight at the moment.

Go to www.marinetraffic.com and enter the name Elektra in the top left where it says go to vessel.

Further to my earlier note, that site only works when the boat is near a coast. It is now in mid-Atlantic and probably won"t appear on the map until this weekend.

I call BS on that... I dropped my car off with damage from a rock and it shipped fast, so presumably I'm now waiting on the repair at the VPC....and waiting...and waiting.

You can track the boat at sea with sailwx.info, but it only updates 3 or 4 times a day.

It's a bit longer than 3 or 4 times a day. My ship hasn't reported a position since November, 2010.

Actually, I am on a K-Line ship called the "Florida Highway", which is supposed to be in Charleston, SC on June 30 (confused the hell out of me when my CA told me "good news, your car is on the Florida Highway"). Its now out in the Atlantic, and sailwx hasn't updated its position since June 19. Guess I'll just have to wait till it gets close to shore...
