**Some Pictures of Indy Driver Tony Kanaan's E92 M3 w/ Active Autowerke Upgrades**

Hello Board,

Tony Kanaan stopped by on Friday to add a couple upgrades to his E92 M3. The car only had 17 miles.... Tony decided to install the AA Shortshifter kit, AA Exhaust system,Pulley, and the Performance software. We were able to pick up a good amount of horsepower (dyno charts will be posted later). TK is out of town so he may be able to chime in by the weekend. Pictures arent the greatest but I thought i would share anyway

Mods Include:
HRE Monoblok Wheels
Brembo Gran Turismo Brakes
AA E9X Exhaust
AA E9X Shortshifter Kit
AA E9X Pulley

How can you dyno the car with only 17 miles on it? Did you only take it up to 5k?

Sorry for the confusion I was referring to our M3 with the software.. TK's car will be dyno tested once he "breaks" it in.

With the software you can dyno the car, I would not recommend it though. We only revved once or twice to make sure the raised rev limit was indeed raised.

haha.. I rarely get to hit 8,400 on the street. Why would you raise it to 8,500? are you really making any more hp with that extra RPM? Plus if you are making more hp at that high of a RPM you're only going to see it for a split second. I can't imagine any situation with this car driving it over 8,400 RPM where you could ever use the hp gained over 8,400?

The throttle begins to close around 300-400 RPM's before redline, by raising the revlimit it gives you an additional ~200 RPM of the throttles being open before they begin to close.

Interesting. Very curious how much HP is gained by keeping throttles open for an extra 200 RPM. And if that increase in HP has any effect on lower RPM range where almost all driving will occur.

Nice looking car. Nice mods. Lets see a close up of the wheels/brakes!

On the rpm raise. Just a 100 rpm at 8400->8500 (assuming torque is flat) gives another 5 hp. Not bad. 8500 seems like a nice even figure where BMW should have made the stock redline.

That is correct, he also picked up some new toys recently. He should be able to share some photos when he gets back in town.

What an excellent collection of cars! I see he likes the P40's! He's got a good and evil thing going with the CLK Black and M3.
