I have a friend who is a cardiologist. He does well...but not as well as i thought a cardiologist would do. He makes around $175k a year. Not to mention he works crazy hours for that money.

To make real money in any profession...you need to be an entrepreneur. There are doctors and attorneys out there who don't earn good money. And there are doctors and attorneys out there who are entrepreneurs and they make buku money.

I have no idea what the point of any of this was....

Associate Partner at an IT firm. Part of the job is sales so the car goes well with the image.

Tell him to mind his own bleedin' business. You don't need to justify what you have to anyone.

As for me. Retired at 42 but getting bored now and looking to get back into something. Oh! And just moved to Canada. What's with this weather???? My wife's been telling me for years your weather was better than Ireland. Lies. All Lies.

Why are you even defending yourself???
It's none of their business. Why should you have to apologise for your parents success? And everyone on here would want the best for their own kids if they're doing well. That's what we live for. The more help we can give our kids the better.

Once you give the kids some decent grounding there's no harm in giving help in the form of a nice car. Who wouldn't have wanted their current ride when they were young enough to REALLY use it to pick up the girls

Also, to say the US economy is in the state it's in because people bought stuff they couldn't afford just shows why you're a doc and not an economist. The people that actually caused the crash are easy to identify. They're the ones getting rescued with your tax money and repossessing from the people that are paying those taxes. Nice.

LOL. I love your forum name.

I'm a General Practitioner, with an interest in Sports Medicine.

My wife is also a GP, but is qualified with an Internal Medicine specialty.

In Med. School, I rode a bike for three years, then my first car was a 1.0 litre Fiat Uno with 58 horsepower, and I loved it like no other car I've owned since!! (went to my father's Medical College in Ireland - best thing I ever did!)
