Can i fit TV in my M3 E93? BMW said NO!!!!

Hi all,

I have a BMW M3 E93 and i dont have a TV function.

Does anyone know of anyone that has done an oem install to the existing idrive system?

I know it will have to be programmed by a dealer but my local BMW dealer has told me there is no avaliable retrofit system.

Please help!?

Thanks. ShawdowE93

Alekshop can sell you a set up with a variety of AV inputs. A DVD player or TV tuner or anything else could be one of them. He is a long term forum member as well. Check out http://www.alekshop.com/ .

alekshops stuff may not work, don't now if NTSC/PAL problems would occur, but I suspect all video outputs for aleks stuff are for NTSC

Even it's completely unnecessary on m3 and dealer says it's not possible, I did it on my e93. First, you have to find TV module.Try ebay(http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-E60-E61-E90-E...item414708270b) or buy directly from dealer. Retrofit kit part number for E92 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...&fg=95&lang=en
You can stick the module next to tire mobility kit. Wire module to Most line bridging from CD changer. You also need to wire it to CCC. Antenna is the most difficult part. Installing OEM TV antenna looks very difficult, instead a good 3rd party antenna in bumper worked for me. You need two, each for analog and digital inputs.
After all, you also need coding for tv unit. Dont forget to use a TV in motion unit.
I advise you not to do it It's not easy and not worth.

TV is almost pointless here in the States. Most people use prerecorded content from an iPod or DVD player.

Our modules work for both NTSC and PAL systems. We sold our kits to UK, Russia, Egypt and other EU countries and haven't had any problems.
