noise from the rear struts.. just installed KW V3s

i put V3s on today and the rears are making noise.. it was very difficult to get the nut on the top of the strut on the rear to tightened down.. and im thinking i didnt get it all the way... i have some clunk noises coming from rear strut area now..

so does anyone have a good picture of the top of the strut from inside the trunk area so i can see how far the the bolt should be down the shock...

other then that.. feels great.

feels alot more solid and takes a set much faster.. rides well also.. Surprised that i dont have the option to slam the car.. but other then that.. the ride height is prob ideal the way it is now...

but anyway.. i pic would be great..

I hope u did not mount the kinda cylinder looking thing in between the two plates, if so your damper is loose, remove them and you are good to go...my one is fine too, but not low enough :-)

Can someone else confirm the little cylinder needs to be removed also.

I know what he is talking about but see nothing about it in the directions.

There are a lot of threads on the E90 side about KW's making noise. I think it's mostly the front struts though.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

shock tops should be tightened all the way. the front struts needed 65 Nm when bolting to the strut towers
