CA Legacy Plates ARE HERE!!!

CA Legacy Plates ARE HERE!!!

I'm ordering black plates, my car is Monaco Blue so it's perfect! CAN'T WAIT!!!

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/legacyplates/index.htm

From the DMV FAQ:
Q15: Will the DMV wait until January 1, 2015 to implement the program even if the minimum is reached before that date?
A: No. Once the required minimum is reached, implementation of the program will go into development.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/legacyplates/faqs.htm

Let's get on it! I'll even place an order for my GF and bro.

Spread the word, the more people order the less we have to wait!

Just got pulled over for my black and yellow plates for the second time, and been waiting for this. I heard about it a while ago, but glad it's happening now.

I'm guessing they'll be like the old plates but reflective? If they aren't, then I'm set already

Q16: How long after the program is implemented will I receive the plates I have pre-ordered?
A: Approximately 9-12 months.

This is a great way to raise much needed funding for the state, but CA is doing it wrong and not producing enough of them. Oregon did this recently with a blue and yellow legacy plate - I have one on my Audi S4 Avant. Instead of a waiting list after they received deposits for 7,500 like in CA, they just started making them for anyone who wanted them (at a premium charge) and limited them to I think 15,000. You got them right away and it raised more money.

The black and yellow would look sick on Jerez or Jet, and the blue and yellow for blue, silver or gray M3's. The only car the yellow with black would look good on is Powerbeast's Dakar e90.

Just ordered the black ones for my AW. Looks like these may take forever so I did not do personalized ones as I have an issue hanging on to cars for a long time.

Get Black plates, they just look amazing on modern cars!

Just get sequential plates in black, you can put them on any car when they come in, and If you'll be "between cars" at that moment you can just hold off on picking them up from DMV until you get your next car. DMV will hold plates at nearest office forever!

it's down to black or the blue. I think the black plate as a stand alone is the best looking plate. Might also complement the CF accents on the car. The blue would give a nice clean look on my blue car. Still haven't submitted my application yet. I hope I'm not number 7500
