Harold - what does the $3159 get us? "Standard" spring rates and the dampers? can you use them without camber plates? They seem like a great option for a predominantly street car.

I assume the price jumps once one wants to add camber plates and custom springs (a la swift)? How do these compare to the JRZ RS1 in a comparable setup?

You get everything listed in post#1 and in the photos.

The kit was designed around the OE upper mounts with camber plates as an option.

I believe most people here drive their M3's on the streets more than the track. If a track set-up is needed, Ohlins has the solution as well.

From our experience with the Road&Track product on 135/335's, the M3 version should be right there in performance with the RS1's given the same spring rates and set-up. In addition, we have done countless number of Ohlins installs, both with Ohlins and upgraded Swift springs, and with or without camber plates. We know what works on these cars. Below are some kits we have done with Swift springs and camber plates.

My friend ordered a set for the E46 M3. I can't wait to get a ride in them to see how they are.

Thanks for clarifying on the spring rates!

Have you decided on what spring rate you'll be going with the Swift Springs?

For the 1M, it's a no brainer 336F and 672R. M3 will likely be 450F and 800R.

Talked to Harold today at great lengths about this kit. This will be the kit that I will purchase for my M. I've been looking for a kit that has the height adjustment seperate from the spring preload. Im going to opt for the swift spring upgrade and vorschlag camber plates.

Here are some photos with the Swift spring upgrade.

Rear is easily done and we used the quick change rear spring kit so the main spring can be changed easily.

Front is a bit more involved when NOT using camber plates. An adaptor had to be custom made for the OE strut top mount to accept a constant ID coilover type springs, but as you can see the result is awesome and look very OE like. A shorter spring can be used to allow the highest lower spring perch position for wider wheel/tire clearance.

No, the front strut is 1M/M3 only. The rears will.

Ohlins will sell 335i front struts and M3 rear dampers as replacement parts.

Too bad The springs rates sound perfect for a modified 335i and the rear shocks are actually valved for the springs.

They sure do!! I know a few guys who have already ordered them. I am personally waiting to hear some reviews on this setup, before deciding what direction I take on my own E46.

Yes, it came out at the same time as the E9x M3 kit:

Everyone is waiting on the sideline for reviews. It's a great kit with excellent value, and performance over most if not all single adjustable kits out there.
