I was informed by a member on here of the color differences and genuinely had no idea. Sorry if my ad was originally misleading. I did not know Mineral white was an option and Alpine white was a standard color. Also I didn't know they were both available in 2012. I thought it was just Mineral white.
In conclusion, the car is Alpine white as mentioned above. If anybody else is interested in the M3 please don't be shy, PM me your # or text me and I will respond promptly. Thank you |

That's interesting... It looks like it has comp pack... i mean how do you even tell visually? I doubt anyone can see the 10mm difference in height. Any other visual differences aside from the wheels?

There aren't any visual differences besides the wheels and the slightly lowered suspension. I discovered the lack of competition package by looking up the VIN...the be all end all.
The wheels pictured are not the OEM wheels but look similar. |

Yes I have updated the post regarding this. I was told by the previous owner it DID have the comp package, vin code says it does not so we will go with what's on paper over anything else and assume it doesn't have it.
The most important feature was the wheels anyway so even if it did have the comp package, it's hardly relevant for the 10mm lower and adjusted damping for that. Thanks |

The Apex wheels are aggressive and wider than the Comp wheels. They were $1400 plus another $1000 in tires. $2400 just for those, $100 less than the original Comp package. The 19" Comp wheels are too big for this car anyway, personal preference on the wheels I suppose. The 10mm lower and adjusted damping settings are not even going to be noticed by somebody driving it on the street as well. It's purely a purist/enthusiast requirement which i whole-heartedly respect. But when you're car shopping and find a great deal on a great car, the Comp package shouldn't be the reason you do or do not buy it. Last edited by Clash0901; 09-27-2017 at 09:32 AM.. |

I'd like to have this sold before November. That's when she will go into heated storage.
The car was never driven in salt or snow. These cars make too much power and are rwd. If you think for a second snow tires would help you're wrong. This is a summer only car or if you live somewhere without snow; then lucky you! |

As a buyer (no offense) just the fact that you didn't know what color your car was or if it had competition package would just make me very hesitant to purchase from you. I would recommend just posting a new thread and updating it with the CORRECT info.
Just my .02. GLWS! |

^ That's funny. I bet if he Knocked down the price you'd be all over it right? That would make you forget the color and competition pack? ha!
Either way, best of luck OP.

I did correct that information in the post, almost immediately. And not everybody cares about the exact color of their car. I bought this package because I liked the white exterior and red interior. I was told it had competition package when I was buying the car, at the time I had no idea what that even meant so I didn't really even care. I just knew I wanted an M3. Not everybody is a BMW purist. Surprise.
As a seller, if you are concerned with me not knowing the color of my car or what package it has, I would say "here's the VIN so you can do your due diligence" but I don't have to say that because the VIN has been in the ad the entire time. I appreciate everybody who has taken the time to let me know what information I posted incorrectly, but frankly none of that mattered to me when I was buying it, and none of that matters to me now. I correctly it solely to not mislead people that were interested. If anybody needed anymore information, I have had my phone number posted on the ad the entire time. If you're actually interested in a car you wouldn't let a seller posting wrong info accidentally deter you from buying it. At least speaking from a logical/rational standpoint. You're not buying the seller, you're buying the car. |
