Rust on CF Roof?

I have no idea what this is but it appears to be in-between the CF and the clear coat. Has anyone seen this before or know how to fix it? Will take it to a body shop after the New Year if I cannot figure this one out.

Was it just there one day or did it start small then get big over time?

You had a chip there and long sun exposure will yellow the carbon epoxy/clear coat. Happened to a bigger chip on my roof but didn't get as bad as that. Body shop can fix it, but it may make that chip larger since they have to remove the yellowing and then fill with epoxy and level it out

I just purchased this M3 so I'm fixing all the little issues. It happened over a long time.

Thanks for the feedback, this is what I was afraid of. Will get it fixed after the holidays, need to have a clean/blemish free cf roof.
