wheel painting?

I have a set of OEM alloys off a non BMW car which I wanted to get painted gloss/matt black and wondered if anyone knew of a good shop in the area that could do such a job. I'd hate to have to ship them all the way to Cali to a few shops I know in the area who routinely do such work. Any thoughts or suggestions gents/gentettes?

Check them out. www.ascoweb.com. There is a local guy that had them powdercoat wheels and it looked great and was reasonable.

I had worked out a deal for some side work but I think they are around 450 for 4 19's with prep.

Designo Motoring in Dulles, VA. They're site is currently down due to reconstruction, but if you'd like to see some cars they've taken care of Google Designo Motoring and there should be a myspace result where you can see some pictures of what they've worked on. They deal with most athletes and celebrities in the DC area.

Yep...so this is an olddddd post. However, curious as to how much painting my OEM 220s would be. Eldersburg would be nice and semi-local to me now. Any help folks!

They look really nice and glossy. Making me want to pick up a set and painting them like yours. 450$ with prep work is very very good price.

Hey guys,

My wheels are actually matte finish. 20% I'm not sure what the current pricing is but their address is MDpowdercoating.com, Metal Refinishing Systems© 5360 Enterprise St, Eldersburg MD 21784 410.795.7130
Darren is the owner. Also just a word of warning I know sometimes shops go through cycles of quality and responsiveness. I have not been in quite some time. Hope that helps.

You also might try Custom Powder Coating - Bruce Eisel on Kent Island 410-604-6417 or 443-871-1512

Bruce might be able to meet up with you at the Church of the Holy Donut in Burtonsville Sunday mornings.

I called a few local places here you guys suggested above...They basically want you to just bring the rim in so they can coat it...and it takes about 5 business days...that sucks...

2k is a bit too much. Might as well buy a spare set.
The biggest problem you will run into is most shops will ask you to drop the wheels off.
How does one do this if they use the car? The only soution is if you have a second set. Make it tough if you ask me. :-(

I am getting some door dings removed at d+v auto body and he said I can leave my car at his garage and have the wheels sent out and powder coated by a guy in manassas for a small fee on top of the powder coat...might take him up on that..

They powder coated my wheels (glossy black) a year or so ago and they look like new. It will last longer than paint.
