Met up with local E92 M3 member today... pics

EDIT - 3/22/11 - I survived my heart surgery and my heart is no longer beating at 280 beats per minute... back to 60 beats per minute now which is normal for me. I want to thank EVERYONE here for their prayers and good wishes... I'm truly honored to be a part of the M3post family.

A HUGE thank you to local forum member, Carl ("crazycarl16") for taking time out of his schedule to meet me, my wife, and kids today so that my family and I could see his fully loaded Melbourne Red M3 in person.

We came away with a lot of good info...

1) I have a MUCH better idea of what options I want now...
a) heated seats
b) ipod/USB
c) black leather interior
d) BMW assist
e) Navigation System (I wasn't going to get this option, but seeing it firsthand in Carl's M3 got me hooked... the iDrive is AWESOME! So easy and intuitive to use.)

My wife and kids loved the interior and sitting in the back seats. Getting my kids in and out of the rear seat was easier than what I thought it would be... this experience has definitely solidified my desire to get the coupe over the sedan.

Before I post up the pics, I want to say THANK YOU to you all... you all have been really cool and supportive of me during the time I've been on here... I just got news yesterday that my partly mechanical carbon fiber heart is beating at 280 beats per minute so I'll be having surgery to burn a section of the heart muscle to correct this fast heart beat next tuesday on 3/22/11... wish me luck and say a few prayers for me... I'll need it. I've survived 5 open heart surgeries so far so I'll survive this and live to see the day I drive my 2011 or 2012 Melbourne Red Coupe... promise!

Onto the pics...

QUESTION... Is the arrow button on the seat a standard feature or is that an option in the premium package?

My child's booster seat fits PERFECTLY...

Plenty of room for my wife and kids... my wife really loves the M3 coupe and the comfy seats!

OMG... Melbourne Red is so beautiful!

My carbon fiber heart really loves the carbon fiber roof... definitely one of the best features of the coupe...

Don't mind me... I'm just bowing to the M3... I'm not worthy!!

Notice I came prepared today... wearing my ///M Track Jacket...

My older daughter LOVES the M3... at first she really wanted me to keep the 323i but now she's hooked on the M3.

Thanks for looking!

Navin

Best of luck on your surgery and a speedy recovery. I don't know about a coupe for the family though. I'd go for the sedan especially with 2 kids. But to each his own. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure the buttons come standard. It allows you to move the seats at a faster speed to facilitate backseat entry and exit.

Thanks for the info! Can more of you confirm that the arrow button on the seat is a standard feature? I do really like how it allows the seats to be moved at a faster speed.

Thanks Kenyon! I did have my doubts about the coupe and whether it would be tough to have this with kids versus the sedan, however after seeing the coupe in person and having my kids there to test it and see how easy/difficult it is to get them in and out, I found that it was very easy.

Plus with the coupe I like how there are no doors in the back so I never have to worry about doors accidently getting opened or not shut properly, etc.
