is it ok to place a magnet near speakers

I have a question for the stereo guys out there. I have a data acquition system for the track that uses a magnetic gps receiver. Since the rear speaker covers are metal it is a very convenient place to place the gps antenna since it has a clear view of the sky.
Is it ok to put a magnet this close to the speaker?
