ESS VT2-625 Dyno Results - 2012 M3 Coupe, 6MT
Last month I purchased the ESS VT2-625 Black Edition supercharger kit from Velos Designwerks for a great price!
The kit was installed last week by CES Motorsport here in Charlotte, NC. Everything went very smoothly and CES was very impressed with the kit and how clean it was to install! A big "thank you" to John and Jimmy at CES that handled the install, their customer service is always top notch! I've already moved to 295's in the rear to handle the upgraded power. With the stock 265 Pirelli's I was getting a lot of wheel spin in 2nd gear above 5k rpm. I made the move to Hankook V12's in 265/30/19 front and 295/30/19 rear on ZCP wheels. The entire power band is just enhanced and the car pulls and pulls, acceleration is so fast now! All of a sudden you look down and you're going 100-120+ and don't even realize it, the power delivery is just that smooth. Since the M3 feels so solid on the road you really have to be careful because you don't even realize how fast you are going and how quickly you can reach those 100+ speeds. Car: 2012 M3 Coupe, 6MT. Both the baseline and post supercharger dyno pulls were 4th gear pulls, 93 octane, done at CES Motorsport. Baseline Dyno - April 2012, ~ 4,000 miles: AA Tune, AA Green Filter, Catless OEM X-Pipe, stock muffler. 375 whp / 273 wtrq Supercharged Dyno - October 2012, ~ 9,200 miles: ESS VT2-625, Catless Borla Quad Resonated X-Pipe, stock muffler. 550 whp / 365 wtrq Dyno Video of 550whp run: Carolina Euros Facebook Fan Page

ESS VT2 625 SC System install on E92 M3
Really nice system. Having a water/air cooler makes the installation much easier as well. The gloss black edition really complements the car beautifully! Great power! Special thanks to Roman and the guys at ESS for the extra tech support and getting us the flash promptly. Another very happy customer. Congrats!

What is happening around 7800 rpm and continuing to 8300 that is causing the flattening of the power and the bumpiness to the curve? Is the belt slipping? Is there detonation? Is the tune ultra conservative and pulling timing? Or are the cams simply not making power anymore (which seems odd given claims that the car will make power to 8600 if the redline is raised).
