im no BMW engineer but im going to put my money on those arent final trim. they arent even appropriate panel colors, it looks more like matte plastic or tape
.... kinda looks like a semi with those mirrors |

Even though I do not particularly like them, I can imagine that they are final production. I compared that shot with the latest spy pics, and it all fits together. What do others think?

maybe once the car is out and looking nice and shiny with the nice big wheels which im pretty sure the 19 inch wheels will be polished im sure those mirrors will not stand out so much. but i still hope they dont really use those cuz they look

I'm not buying that. I think they are just a camoflauge distraction. I can't image those mirrors supporting auto-folding functionality. The e36M3 mirrors where snapon/off and were prone to theft and damage. Not to mention they look ugly on the e92M3.
