Thanks Mpower-Belgium for the link. Did you get rid of the grandma's hair or dead animal as others say? I am still not sure which method to do( straight pipe seems sick but the first clip on this tread looks awesome as well (black car)...

I am only afraid that straight pipe will make car to be too loud...what do you think?

Mpower-Belgium didn't you think to do straight pipe? Why did you decide to do this method?

Thanks alot for help guys!!!

Yes keep the dead animal in there.

Only do the straight-pipe method if you KNOW you want a very loud car. If you are hesitant, stick to the perforated pipe method.

I have the straight pipe method and I don't think it's too loud. As I was telling another member:
- Car should have come from factory with the perforated pipes solid. If you go this way, then yes, leave the fiberglass in.

- If you want a modified sounding exhaust, then go with the straight pipe method.

Hope this helps.

Look...SOUND !!! is very personal,some like it loud...others not to loud !
For example...i work in shifts...this week i need to leave at 04.30 am..do you want to wake up your neighbors??? yes???go with a loud exhaust + drone !!!
Do you want a nice & sporty exhaust sound..(the black car on the first clip that you like) and not to loud...and without drone..that is my method, and my car sounds identic the same...and for me (personal) it's just...PERFECT !
Think also...the cold start...with this mod. ...Jesus !
So ...i have now a problem in am-shift...why ??? i don't want to wake up al my neighbors, and take the Mini-one from my wife...pm-shift...it's ok
Now i have some members assised with this oem.exhaust mod. with PM's and with the link from my post about this,on my post you can see the video and the comparing oem. exhaust mod. and Eissenman and it is only 2 db of difference;
So it's up to you..(personal).and make your decision...louder... or to loud !!!
BTW...you can alway PM me...and i will help you..just like i did with the other members

lol at that sounding exotic.

That's the most over used word on this forum when it comes to exhausts.

Very few actually sound exotic.

In the video of my link to my post you can see the oem. exhaust mod. replaced the 2 big perforated pipes by 2 full stainless steel pipes(my mod.) and the Eisenmann race exhaust .(DB- comparison)
For more details about all this ,you can alway's PM me

I'm looking for a place near NYC or Boston that can perform the OEM exhaust mod -- NOT ACM style

So far no luck

I've heard of three methods. 1 - acm mod. I had this one done and its perfect. 2- non perforated pipes method which involves cutting two pipes out an replacing with reg pipe. 3- wrapping the perforated pipes. Easiest one of all and it provides near identical outcome.

Take it to any muffler shop and show them pics. They will do it for you
That's what I did and it cost me 2 hours of labour not 400 like some places charge.
