Price check - 2008 E90 6MT
Hello all, I'm a frequent user of the F80 forum here, and wanted to get a market pricing check from some people who have more knowledge with the E9x than I do.
Car details are:
From what I can tell there have been no Rod Bearings done or Throttle Actuators. Car's definitely got pock marking on the front bumper and one nastier ding on the hood - not fixable without paint. What would you think is a reasonable ask/offer cost on this particular vehicle. thanks for the help!

Low 20s, probably.
The interval of 1500-16000 is not odd. The car will tell you when to get an oil change and that's about right (every 12-15k, depending on driving style -- the longer side means it probably saw a lot of low-risk highway miles).

I've started to see E46 M3's 6MT Coupes 60-90k miles going for $20kish
It would seem that clean E46's and "enjoyed" E9X's prices are soon to intersect? |

Unfortunately some owners abide by the 15k oil change intervals. I would avoid those cars as I have a suspicion that those owners are more likely to abandon proper warm-up as well.

Maybe. If the car saw lots of highway miles it's probably fine. Big sump, low engine load.

If the car is otherwise pristine - I mean near perfect all around then mid-20s. Condition is king in my book. It's not practical to think you can turn a rough car into a nice car but start with a nice car and you can keep it nice.
I would also be interested in how it drives. Does the motor rip up top or does it seem flat? Are the steering and front suspension nice and tight? What are the condition of the brakes and tires (that's ~$2500 right there to do them "right")? For reference, I just paid 33k for a virtually perfect '08 6MT sedan with 30k miles. |

Low 20's seems reasonable.
I just bought an '08 e90, optioned similarly, with 51k for $27k. Two days after I bought it, dealer had to replace the throttle actuators. DSC and emissions errors, limp mode, etc. Glad it happened right away so it was fixed for free! |

I would have to say 22k-28k for an 08 sedan with those options and mileage. Based on kbb value. I bought my 08 e90 sedan had 79k premium package 25k keep in mind car sat on the lot for around 6 months. Price was reduced from 28k

low 20's for sure. fixing the cosmetic stuff adds up as does maintenance. figure new motor mounts too, among other things, when you have the bearings done.

Thanks for the input guys. Pending PPI I think my buy price will slot comfortably between the 23-24k range and think that is appropriate. The front end definitely should have been clearbra'd given the amount of obvious highway use, but the car itself is in great shape. Service records check out properly and car "feels" right - it drives like it has 20k miles on it.
Given the blemishes, and mileage, this sure isn't a 27-29k car without lots of maintenance documented. But, for one that I won't feel bad about putting mileage on, this should fit the bill. Plans from purchase would look like this: Starting at the top will be the day 1/2's and the remainder likely by the time it gets put away for next winter.
Anything else that is a "while I'm in there" that would be recommended?

With that mileage, defo do the bearings. Easy to do the engine mounts at the same time. My engine mounts were wrecked at only 30k miles. The engine feels much more locked down on gear changes with new mounts. Given you are in Bergen County I'd recommend ACM for the bearings, I had mine done there.
