Great story! Thanks for sharing.

And I agree that the M3 like any car loses some of the fun factor or specialness with the daily grind.

Amazing story from someone that is very clearly a great person. Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Even as car guys, we all know there are things that are much much more important than them.

Great Father. I'm sure if he had to make that choice one day he would follow in his fathers footsteps. In the case of the car you still have an ///M and your boy has a strength builder! Sounds like a win to me in every direction.
God Bless you and your Family.

This is by far one of the best threads I have ever seen on here, to many of us we think our cars are some of the most important things because we don't have kids and reading something like this really keeps everyone in check. Family is by far more important than any object you can buy. I wish your family the best and many more cars will come and go, but what you have done for your son will last a lifetime.

Motor on! And if you ever miss your 1M and want to drive one you are more than welcome to take mine out if you are any bit local.

Fantastic story. We're all guilty of taking simple things for granted.
Like others have said, no car is worth your son's health.
