Found it! Thanks for help!

I am looking for the part number E90 M3 LCI center consloe (manual transmission) trim, RHD in black leather.
Planning an idrive controller upgrade, but the dealer in Germany can not find RHD consoles in their system. So I need a LCI version VIN (mine is a pre LCI M3 so it does not help) or the direct part number. Can anybody help?

Yep, the best place to locate the exact PN is www.realoem.com

Very easy to use and a great resource.

center console pn

Hi DivideBYZero

Thanks! Yes, I tried this out but the illustration is quite confusing to me.
None of them looks like to have the hole for the CIC controller, and no pn to search anyway.
The third console in the second picture looks similar, but has no slit for the EDC/Power/DSC buttons..............

Do I search in the wrong place?

Make sure you select the correct year when starting. Then you'll get the CIC part instead of the CCC.

very close

Hi DivideBYZero

Thank you for your reply again!

I selected all necessary items, and it seems there are 2 choices.
5116 7903 965 (remarks: right hand drive)
5116 7903 961 (remarks: right hand drive +
For vehicles with:M Drive (S2MDA) = Yes
And:On-board monitor withTV (S602A) = Yes
And:Navigation system Business (S606A) = No
And:Navigation system, Professional (S609A) = No)

Do you know the difference between those two consoles?

Thank to your help, I feel I am quite close to the PN.

Thank you in advance!

After searching and searching and talking to BMW many times, I found out, the trim I was looking for is the part number 5116 7903 961.
Now I am ready to swap the controller.
Thanks for help!

Done!

I am finished with the swap, and everything works fine!
I have an PM January 2008 model, and I upgraded the CIC controller and tail lights to LCI.

Very nice job! Well done.

Question: Did you have to weather seal the new lights? I know badly sealed lights can leak water badly and cause further problems. This happened to a bad repair on my wifes E81 tail light. Ruined the rear seat squab, along with the Bluetooth and PDC modules.

Looks good, might do this myself. How much was the centre trim and new idrive controller?

How much were the LCI tails, and did you need to do any coding?

Actually the new lights came with a rubberlike sponge seal, so I just put them on. But you may be right, I'll check the lights after rain.

The CIC controller was almost new but used and 180 Euro. The trim was 235 Euro by a BMW dealer. It's a bit expensive but I think it worth it.

The taillights were about 500 Euro in total.
Since I had the old footwellmodule II, I had to purchase the module III and the new module had to be coded.
I did it by BMW, since it is an official retrofit menu and I did not have the time to look for used parts.
Paid about 1800 Euro for the conversion.
If you are able to find all parts used, it can be done with half the price.
You need the taillights, trunk lid, (footwellmodule III)+paintwork, connecting cable,
and a nice dealer who will do only the coding work for DIY conversion.
