Side Mirror Trim: Gloss black (e92) vs Plastic Flat black (e93)
I parked my e93 M3 next to an e92 M3 last night and realized that the black parts of the side mirrors were painted gloss black on the coupe... while mine on my convertible are flat black plastic (unfinished).
Of course did a bit of internet research and realized that the e92's with the black window trim (ie all M3's at least in USA) have the mirror trim to match the gloss black. Anyone think I could have my mirror trim painted the gloss black ? (not a hacky job, at a v good bodyshop). Anyone else w/ e93 done this ? This is definitely filed in the category of "wasting money on the m3" and "doesn't make the car go faster" but ... the gloss looked really good esp side-to-side comparo to my car. So now I'm thinking a good idea. |

Have you already had your window trim vinyl wrapped in black? If so, it only makes sense to wrap the mirrors if you have gloss trim and want them to match.
If you haven't had your trim wrapped, do that because it makes a huge difference in how the car looks.
