Car transport protection advice needed

Does anyone know if there's any harm in putting duct tape on top of painter's tape to provide extra protection from rocks for the front end? I plan on doing this for the long drive back home from my out-of-state delivery dealer. I can't think of any reason but maybe there's something I'm overlooking.

Clear bra it - you won't have to worry about this issue ever again.

If you don't like the line in the middle of the hood - have them do a full hood cover.

I'm getting clear bra put on in a couple of days. I just need to make sure the front end is protected until the bra gets put on!

I don't see why that wouldn't work. Just try to keep the duct tape away from the painted surface.

A couple layers of masking tape should do the trick. The duct tape over masking tape is a good idea but probably a bit overboard. Make sure you use the low adhesion masking tape, a lot of folks don't know it but it comes in a variety of adhesion levels. The stickier stuff can really bond on after some time and leave a lot of residue. You will find a good selection of differnt adhesions at a good home store like Home Depot or a good paint store as well.

hehe.... I drove the car for about 3-5 days before I got the clear bra installed. I just made sure to stay well back of everyone, and I was lucky and didn't have any issues.

Clear bra or painters tape. Don't put duct tape on any part of your car you'll be sorry
