I'm thinking of having him arrested, but I feel bad...but I also want to hire my guy to get rid of the problem...but then he is family... arg maybe i should just forget it.

I would delete the second part of your message. Not sure what it's supposed to mean, but it can be taken as a threat and it can be used against you in court.

As I can easily hire someone to go to the police in my place to file the report and get rid of the problem, meaning having the police arrest someone who made a physical thread to my safety

Defense who is a successful businessman, many friends and associates, never committed a crime, graduate with honors etc etc

Plaintiff: several arrests, not HS diploma, no college degree, sent to Military Boarding school for violent behavior and drug abuse, DUI, currently ON probation

So... the plaintiff would have quite a hard time proving their point

Sounds pretty dumb... You two must not have a good relationship because if you did, he wouldn't get upset over something dumb like that. Why do you even have him as your friend?

While we're on the subject, after deleting my FB, I kind of wanted to start it up again, only adding people who I am actually friends with (i.e., not some HS acquaintance) and family, but I decided against it because I didn't want to re-add some of my family members and I know that if I made another FB and I didn't add some of them, it would have started a family shitstorm.

So I said fuck it... screw FB.
