Who thinks the sedan looks waaaay better than the coupe?

Nice to hear, that seems to be a rare opinion. They are my biggest dislike of the sedan. There is a lot of talk of potentially some changes in them for the 09 models.

The sedan is one killer sedan. I could easily be happy with it.

I can't STAND the E90 rear tails...they just look so FUGLY!!!

If they had the E92/93 tails...I'd be MUCH happier...but then again, you can't have everything....

BTW, I read here that they are not using LED taillights on the E9x's. Is this true? Even the later E46's had LEDs. Isn't this a step backward in technology?

Can't we all just get along. I happen to think the sedan looks waaaaaay better than the coupe, but some gentlemen prefer blondes. i just happen to be a brunette type of guy.

Since I missed the point of the thread I will give me opinion on looks.

I like that the sedan has a more rounded roof line towards the rear. I also really like the rear tail light assembly. The rear tail light of the coupe looks like a piece is missing which drives me crazy.

My only gripe about both cars is the incredibly plain interiors!

sedan looks completely whack IMO, until maybe you get blacklines, then it becomes acceptable/nice

finally a person that agrees with me. I have been asking people what is it exactly that thye don't like ab out the taillights? I mean I had blacklines on my 335 and it looked better but that was jsut a color change. I dont see anything wrong with them, and I think peopel as scared to admit they like them. since they might get banned.

I actually like them better then the coupe as well. but like I say in all the posts I like the entire sedan better as well.,

Lots of great colors on the coupe. Surprised so many people thought the sedan was better. At the dealership I went to, it was the opposite. Sedans will sell great IMO. Many people could use the extra doors and better seating. It has me on the fence. Unfortunately, I do not like the lights like you. They look like cheaper Japanese or other Asian cars. Big and bulky. The coupes rear looks more in line with other Euro cars.

Brunettes! Yeah. So that must be why I like the sedan better. I'm a brunette type of guy too.

I like the look of the sedan better than the coupe but I still have yet to see either in real life. The only Bangle design I've liked so far is the z4 coupe. If I don't like the M3 looks I'll probably get an M coupe. It can't be too much different from the E46 M3 I had, same engine and all that, so I will probably love it even though I know the E9x M3 is the better car all around. I guess that makes me a brunette MILF type of guy.

The truth of the matter is that you either are a coupe or a sedan lover at heart - 2 doors or 4? I generally prefer sedans myself and already love the M5. In the case of the M3 however, I had a hard time deciding as they both grab my attention equally. I am going with the sedan after a coin toss though...

Maybe it looks chunkier and has a more solid look? I know that's why I loved the old E46 M3.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the new Sedan M3 because It's like BMW cant make their mind up. First they make the Sedan and Coupe look different but now making them look similar but only completing half the job by puting the new Coupe front on the Sedan and not the rear?

They didnt even give it whitelines. Rear lights are stupid. Now they are going to facelift the Sedan with new rear lights, but what about all the people that bought the Sedan M3 already? They could have at LEAST facelifted the Sedan then brought the M3 out. That's the LEAST they could do.

Dont get me wrong guys, I do love the Coupe front. It just would have been better if BMW put it on the Sedan and Coupe to begin with. Instead of confusing us. Also, I think the Sedan and Coupe should both have a rear end something like this:

but it should be tweaked a little to be more sleek like this:

something in between both of those would have been perfect for both the Sedan and Coupe!
