Question about coding alarm at dealer
Odd question,
My car is currently at the dealer getting some warranty work done and my tech is willing to code the factory alarm into the car... The only issue? I don't have the parts yet. I have the interior sensor but not the siren itself yet. This should save me labor and another trip. Would coding in the alarm before the parts are put in throw in codes or errors?! I have an 08 so everything is also pre-wired from the factory. Thanks in advance! |

You need to code the alarm as well for it to work properly, and the factory programming system will likely prohibit the programming if it doesn't see the alarm module installed.
