new 3?

so what do we think? i like most of it but the front hood area and side profile of the hood is gonna take some getting used to. can see potential for the m3 out of it though.

I like the black and red interior .

I don't like the downward sloped nose. looks like a Z4

Not sure about the pop-up screen. In the last pic you can see that glare will be a problem.

Interior looks great, exterior a bit underwhelming. Too conservative design wise.

im not a fan of the blue interior cues on the one. the pop up nav is fine just a gimick. some of the wood used looks a little weird also on the interiors. my gf said it looks like an accord. boo. the front does look like the z4. not a fan of moving the bmw ebmlem off the hood and onto the front end changes the lines.

It's not a pop up nav from what has been said. I believe the X3 is like that too and doesn't retract.

I personally don't like the look of the new 3.

I think the front end looks too narrow. i like a bit more aggressive front end.

Front end looks too pinched (like recent Audi designs).
Not a fan of the headlights blending into the kidney grilles.
Do not like movement of the emblem off the hood. Just not right.
Not a fan of the new seat patterns...

Side and rear look mostly like the e90.

Like the return to 4 dial instrument panel.

Although who knows, it took me 6 years to get used to the e9x designs. Maybe this one will grow on me too.

They have managed to cut almost 100lbs off of it even though it is bigger than the E90. This is promising for a lighter M in the future.

BMW has usually done a good job of hiding the weight. You can't hide size though. This car is even bigger than the e9x which is already big.

The problem I have with the exterior of the F30 is that bulbous hood line that doesn't correspond well at all with the conservatively designed rear sections. Nevermind magnetic steering, etc. Not a fan.

My thoughts exactly...since the 5 series came out I had been hoping they would leave the front of the 3 clean, uniterrupted. But they didn't, and I'm not entirely sure why. It seems strange to have a seam running across the front...

Profile looks like a Z4 up to the front wheel, then a 5 series beyond that. The changing angle of slope on the front nose almost highlights the impression that those two cars (Z4 and 5 series) were literally welded together.

Not gonna lie, after seeing the interior pics, my E92 interior instantly feels outdated....but at the same time I know I'll be in for a treat if I go for the next gen M3

I think it is to try to give more of a drivers oriented cockpit feel.

Poeple complainted about the current "double hump" but can anyone honestly tell me they think that pop-up navi look alike (I know its not pop up) looks better? I think it looks way cleaner how it is and do not think the interior looks better at all. Overall the good news is atleast the m3 will get a new hood, v the m5 which keeps that disgusting hood which on both cars is the worst features. I think it looks promising, especially the coupe, with a revised front and new powerdome hood.

I feel if they can knock 100 pounds off the m3 and bump power by 50hp, should be amazing given that it is also wider, lower and has a longer wheelbase
