Great info Jason! Thank you for posting.
This is what I was waiting to see. What I didn't see was any mention of extended leather. Surely ext. leather is still an option w/ non-individual interiors.

ZPP for the Convertible seems too cheap. $2500 means that the 2012 Convertibles are going to be significantly cheaper than the 2011 E93.
My 2011 E93: $67550 MSRP $ 2900 Convenience $ 750 ZCW $ 1350 PP2 $ 2900 M-DCT $ 1250 19" wheels $ 1900 Premium Sound $ 875 Dest $1700 Gas Guzzler Total $81175 2012 E93 M3 $68550 MSRP $ 750 ZCW $ 2500 Premium $ 2900 M-DCT $ 1250 19" wheels $ 1900 Premium Sound $ 875 Dest $1700 Gas Guzzler Total $80425 Ok, so $750 cheaper but still... not bad. Yeah, definitely the last model year. |

Too bad they didn't offer those Individual package options for the E92, I would have been tempted by Azurite. |

No kidding. This M3 generation's inefficiency and lack of economy have me seriously rethinking a 2012 E92 purchase. It's just hard to mentally accept the reality of getting 14/20mpg when cars with comparable performance are getting significantly better economy (1M, Cayman R). Not a matter of money; a matter of waste.

Besides the 2011 verses the 2012 the way it looks to me is not much different other then the option selection and perhaps saving $500- or so on the final bottom line. Then you have the advantage of saving 7% or is it 8% on the taxes

I don't understand why BMW ignores the rest of the world ... for us Canadians up here the pricing and option structure will only be published in September so I am told by my Canadian Dealership. That sucks

E46 M3 was rated 16/24. I can understand losing city mileage due to more cylinders in the V8, but how did highway drop 4mpg on the NEWER model? |

I'm not worried about fuel mileage. I'm worried about needless wastage. There's a way to get decent economy and performance, and this M3 generation doesn't strike that balance the way the E46 did. There's no need to run the faucet for the hell of it.

The Vette and the new Mustang have surprisingly efficient motors. Those aside, the other competitors like the C63, CTS-V also get lousy mileage. The next M3 will likely be a lot more efficient, but it seems that we're looking at the end of the v8 and naturally aspirated motors. |

I think that "new" reference in the announcement was regarding the package change, not actual new navigation hardware.
