Differential problem?

Yesterday morning before the rain came I took the car out and ran it hard before I flew to Miami for 2 weeks. I was on an up hill section of road running it hard. As most of you all can imagine it was awesome. I get back to a stop sign where a cop usually sits on sunday mornings and as I pulled away and loud clicking noise came from the left rear. I did not notice the noise coming from the right rear. This noise is defiantly not normal and I wish that I had a video of it. It almost sounded like there was something in between the rear backing plate and the rotor. After about a mile of driving it went away. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be a wheel bering? What is going on with my car. I know a video could help more but maybe you all can help me out with this. Thanks in advance.

It could just be a rock caught between the rotor and dust shield.
