There are a few of us E39 M5 guys coming. I know myself and Meltron are making the trip. I hope two or three others will join.

Also, for all you Atlanta M guys don't forget to check out our new Intown Atlanta M group get together posted on the M5 board. We meet the 2nd Sunday at 1 PM at Willy's off Howell Mill.

I have a rough idea of what it'll be, but nothing final yet. I'll get on that in not too long. The drive will be similar to the one the 3 of us did back in May.

Crazy that it went from 3 cars to begin with, now over 15+

Ken, you probably don't check this forum too often, but I'll keep you updated with everything via email. And hopefully you can relay all the info to the guys that aren't on M3post.

Ken, I'll keep in touch with you. I'm going to try and set a meet point and time for us GA boys, so we can caravan from here to SC. I'm having an e39 M5 coming also. I'll keep you posted.

Here's the plan:

Meet at 9:30AM

Ingles (in the parking lot)
1500 Geer Hwy
Travelers Rest, SC 29690

We will leave at 10AM. We will split everyone into 3 groups (with someone local that knows the route leading each group), leaving 10 mins apart. Please come already fueled up. We will then drive on Caesar's head, head towards Brevard for lunch (get there at 11:30ish if not earlier), then we will drive on part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. There will be a stop for a small photoshoot around a place called Skinny Dip falls.

After that, the group from ATL can start heading South if they want, while the NC folks can break off too. The SC crew will prob go a bit further and then call it a day.

I was thinking off 85 somewhere. That way we can just hop on 85 and go north. I just don't have any idea where. I see that they are meeting at 9:30am, so we will have to leave here at around 7am to make it there. If I'm not mistaking, it is a roughly 2hrs. drive. Maybe somebody in the Norcross area can pick a place??

Decided on keeping the car and I would be all over the meet. But the track day that I had planned got rescheduled to that day.

It is right off of 85 north of the 985 split. Any of the guys coming from Gainsville etc... can easily come in off of Buford Dr.

That'd be useful, because I can get in touch with the SC guys. That way I can call ahead for lunch. I'm sure they aren't used to seeing 10-15 BMW's pulling up. Lunch is going to be at this Irish bar in a little town in NC that I really like. Might also be useful to find out if you guys are planning to bring passengers. Just a rough idea.

I'm sure a few people will bring them. I'd like an idea of how many so that we don't completely surprise where we are eating lunch.

Everyone and their mom's told me that catless ER was going to be way too loud. IMHO, it just isn't. Under 3k rpm, it's no louder than catless Megan's. But go WOT and it's got one of the most amazing roars out there. So insanely happy with my setup.

So for me, it's the perfect volume. No problem cruising with music on, but when I want to step on it, it's not as stupidly loud as let's say Meisterschaft GT2
