My car was ED. Here's what WW said:
DELIVERED FROM NEW YORK, NY 10-06-2010 08:00:00 1 DISCHARGED NEW YORK, NY 09-06-2010 15:40:36 1 LOADED ON VESSEL BREMERHAVEN 26-05-2010 14:38:04 1 RECEIVED AT TERMINAL BREMERHAVEN 24-05-2010 13:45:29 1 BOOKED BREMEN 17-05-2010 16:44:34 1 I'd love to know what "DELIVERED FROM" means as well. Who should we bombard with phone calls? My SA didn't have much input this morning. The suspense is killing me. Even more so considering I am getting around by bus!!! |

Mine had the same times for discharged and delivered from.
My bet is that now we are in customs and no one has insight into that. The SAs probably won't have any info until the VDC gets the cars.

Perhaps but my car is already listed at VPC by the BMW USA site and we know that one car is already delivered to a NJ dealer.
I suspect that Delivered from means that they have handed it over to BMW since the shipper is in possession until they hand it over at the end of voyage. It's similar to what the BMW person told me (the one at the 800 number) when the car gets to port. They said that it is in the possession of the shipping company at that point until it gets to VPC. As to where customs fits in this |

Enjoy it! I drove it home (babied it of course) first thing I did was put a coat of dodo supernatural on it. The car looks amazing. I will post pics once the weather clears up over here. Didnt drive it at all today because of the rain - I cant wait to hopefully take it to the beach next weekend!
I am not sure whats better: taking delivery of it, or looking forward to it. What a machine!!!! Its slower than the M6, but so so much more involving from behind the wheel. |

It's safe to assume the non ED guys get the cars faster than ED guys due to customs.
It would be interesting to see when the ED guys get delivery. If one of us had to wait an extra 1-2 days than the other ED guys, then perhaps their car was chosen to get completely dismantled by customs. That would suck... |

Yes... If you took ED and your car was on the Fedora, please update this thread when you take re-delivery!

Called and confirmed with BMW. I was planning PCD, so I spoke with PCD coordinator and confirmed the customs release and expected discharge from VPC is June 17 from her system (she has realtime data). I can't do PCD due to scheduling conflicts, so I'm having it delivered to my local dealer. I was told to expect the car next Monday, Tuesday of next week. Slpnbyu, we got the updated seat belt module at ED according to the BMW rep so there should be no delay for release. She did tell me some cars from early May are still in customs for the modules. So I guess some luck is involved.

My non-ED car has been released from VPC. Should be in Boston by tomorrow. Unfortunately I can't pick it up until Fri due to work. It's supposed to rain anyways through Thurs. Almost there.

To the ED guys still waiting.
I assume you guys were on the EH Harms website. Call the broker number at the top of the page. The rep told me my car cleared customs and was released to BMW yesterday morning! I guess that means it's at VPC right now. Aw man. I'm praying I get it before the weekend. |
