Hamann Visit w/2 M3s
A friend just got his new M3 last week and we decided to do a road trip with our two cars down to the Hamann shop in Laupheim near Munich (http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/14.0.html?&L=1).
They closed at 1400, and we pulled in just before closing time. They were absolutely amazing to us. They let us right in and showed us the Hamann Thunder (E92 M3 with a M V10 engine put in it, http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/764.0.html?&L=1). They actually let us ride in it too, and that thing is crazy fast. We ate up a lot of their time and kept them there well past closing. In the end we both bought the brand new front bumper unit (http://www.hamann-motorsport.de/125....&L=1&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=43&tx_ttnews[backPid]=124&cHash=5102eda7c8) and new rear diffuser. With some luck they will have them painted up next week and installed. Anyway, here are some initial pictures, mine is the white one =) I am waiting on my buddy to send some pictures and post a video of the Thunder ride / drive bys. I'll add them or link them when I get em. We ended by driving back and washing the bugs off the cars and snapping a few more pics. What a fun day! Maybe that MDCT he got can keep up with my 6MT when he gets out of break in!

This is what the front bumper unit will look like on my AW!
There is one of the rear diffuser too, that is the actual Hamann Thunder we rode in =)

Great stuff I see I am not the only true Hamann Fan
I can't wait to see how your M3's will look. I just ordered some hamann stufff myself, so Far I got a Hamann rear Spoiler, and Hamann roof spoiler I had custom made in CF to match the roof. I had this done aftermarket. I plan to put on Front spoiler and rear diffuser I will order these once I get my M3 finally shipped Congrats on your Hamann orders

We are going to make a trip up to AC Schnitzer before I decide on the exhaust. I was impressed with the look of the Hamann one, it is kind of hard to speak about the sound though. Only heard it on the V10 Hamann Thunder. Probably sounds different on a standard M3.

great story...thanks for sharing...think of the craftsmanship exhibited by the german mechanics getting a V-10 in the E92...

Yeah, it is amazing. Man that car was fast though. The guy driving us did not really hold anything back, what a blast. Hope to link up the videos soon, I should have taken some of my own!

Would have loved to see a video of you in your M3 going head to head from 50 - 110 with the V10 M3

+1, Let me know, we'll all roll down there in a M3 caravan. I know of at least 5 of us who ordered M3s in my Battalion.

Big Windy and Armyav8tor, there is a pretty new ///M club that is being sponsored by Pentagon Auto Sales. I'll PM you the info when I grab it from work in the next day or so. I am not big on "clubs" like this, but would be cool to meet up and talk bimmers. Always nice to get some info on your car and hear about new mods.
The address for Hamann is: Kaessbohrerstrasse 3 88471 Laupheim Deutschland You will have to put in 11 for the street number using the BMW navi, but it will take you right to it. Let me know when you guys have your cars and want to head down that way. Maybe we can meet up down there.

Great story. My colleague Jon and I had the opportunity to visit their Laupheim facility a couple of weeks ago while visiting Munich. The folks over there are EXTREMELY friendly and we got a full tour of the facility. Definitely a top notch group over there.
