Carbon fiber spoiler vs factory
Cheers elite M3 owners,
So anything carbon fiber is sick. I feel that I wanna build my house and buy my furniture all carbon fiber. I have the carbon fiber interior. My car is just 500mls and I'm thinking constantly what kinda mods should I do. I was looking at the carbon fiber spoiler and it looked really nice. I have the MW exterior. I know many of you changed to the CF spoiler and I wanna ask your advice. Should I go ahead change my factory spoiler to the CF one?

Yes. I've held off for quite sometime and should have done this sooner. I thought I was set on the Arkym or Challenge trunk but still not sure.

I just installed my OEM cf trunk spoiler on my 2013 dct m3 and it looks amazing. Some will say to get the top painted, I just think clear coated raw carbon fiber is so beautiful,, I would never cover it with paint. That's like bmw painting their carbon fiber roofs.. Doesn't make sense to me.
Do not go after market. The fit will never be as good and perfect as OEM. Why save a couple hundred bucks when you paid so much for your car. The OEM spoiler is so light bc it's all hallow. It will shock you when you get it as to how light it is over the smaller painted one that came this the car. My car is a lease, used beta link for perminant fittment and will just turn it in with the lease.. Figure I will get my money's worth in the next couple years. |

The one thing they tell you once this is installed is only use touch less car washes to avoid extreme contact with the spoiler to avoid damage to the spoiler. Also don't close the trunk by the spoiler.

Mine came with the BMW CF spoiler and mirror caps. I love the addition to the car but I feel like at any given moment, someone with any knowledge of this stuff is going to lift it off with a piano wire. Either way, it's awesome. Glad you're enjoying your new M, I am too! My next mod is CF gills and hood vents plus painted reflectors and key hole cover (IND quote in my inbox now). I've already dropped in the Perf Kids and love those as well.
